Apple Crisp
Ingredients
- 1 Cup All-purpose Flour
- 2/3 Cup Light Brown Sugar
- 8 Tbsp Unsalted Butter, room temperature
- 8 Cups Peeled and Sliced Apples
- 2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
- 3 Tbsp All-purpose Flour
- 1 Tbsp Cornstarch
- 1/2 Cup White Granulated Sugar
- 1/4 Tsp Kosher Salt
- 1/4 Tsp Allspice
- 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine sliced apples, lemon juice, 3 Tbsp flour, cornstarch, granulated sugar, salt, allspice, and cinnamon and place in a 9 inch dish, mounded.
Combine 1 Cup flour, 2/3 Cup brown sugar, and mix in 8 tbsp unsalted butter. Mix until mixture feels like wet sand. Sprinkle the crumble over the apple prepared dish.
Place on large parchment paper lined tray into preheated lower portion of oven. Bake for 30 minutes and reduce heat to 375 degrees. Continue baking approximately 45-55 minutes.
The crisp crumble may need to be covered with foil during baking to prevent burn.
